Certus’ Shoes

[ - papercut - Certus]

According to my Apple Watch, I walk an average of 3.5 miles every day. This is typically done in cheap shoes with very little bounce or cushion. Because of this, I have developed big calluses on the balls and heels of my feet. Now that it’s winter, I’ve started wearing a pair of boots that I recently bought on my walks. My boots have rubber soles which have much more give than I’m used to. It causes my calluses to rub on the insoles. This isn’t too bad over short distances, but after 3.5 miles, my feet feel like they’re on fire. I’m hoping that I will break the boots in more and/or develop different calluses to make my walking experience more enjoyable.
